Frequently asked questions
How long does a project take?
It depends on scope and floor area. An interior renovation generally takes a few weeks to a few months, while building a villa or warehouse from scratch takes several months to more than a year. We give an accurate estimate after a site visit and a review of the drawings.
Can you take on projects outside Bali?
Bali is our main focus. For projects elsewhere, get in touch and we will discuss it case by case.
Does Lawang Jaya Mandiri offer design services?
Yes, for interiors. Our team handles concept, space planning, material selection and custom furniture design — and builds it as well. For building architecture, we work from your architect’s drawings.
Do you handle building permits?
Permit processing is not part of our scope. Our work starts once you have the necessary permits in place. We can explain which technical documents are usually required.
How does payment work?
Payment is staged according to the terms set out in the contract, following progress on site. The breakdown is stated in the quotation.
How do I follow progress if I am not in Bali?
We send regular progress reports with photo documentation and an account of the work done. Many of our clients are outside Bali or overseas, and we run this as standard.
What does the contract cover?
The contract sets out the scope of work, material specifications, contract value, payment terms, the construction schedule and the handover conditions. All of it is discussed with you before signing.
